Caldey Island lies just a few miles off the coast from Tenby. There are regular boats trips, taking the many tourists and locals to and from the island. Crossing time takes around 20 minutes and the last crossing back from the island is usually around or close to 16:30.

The monks who live on the island produce a number of items for sale such as chocolate, ice cream, yoghurt and biscuits. Perhaps most popular are the perfumes and lotions made from wild flowers that grow locally.
The island village includes a gift shop, tea gardens with a small kids play area and a small museum within the village post office. You will also find a church, an old priory and a lighthouse all within walking distance.
Caldey Abbey and Post Office (Musuem)

Caldey Abbey was built in 1910 by the Anglican Benedictine monks who came to Caldey in 1906. The Abbey is now home to monks of the Cistercian Order. The islands peaceful and tranquil atmosphere is a nice contrast from the busy town of Tenby and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
