Offering rock climbing courses in Snowdonia North Wales, Dragon Mountain Skills based near Llanberis is owned and operated by Bryn and Rebecca Williams. Bryn works full time as an instructor and has been mountaineering around the world for over 15 years. He also holds the Mountaineering Instructor Award (MIA) and Winter Mountain Leader Award ML(W) and serves on the AMI committee.
Rebecca has also been mountaineering for over six years and holds the Single Pitch Award for rock climbing. As a Clinical Psychologist Rebecca is an excellent motivator and confidence coach, the ideal qualities for a climbing instructor.
Dragon Mountain Skills are members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors, holders of which have to undergo several years of rigorous training and assessment and have gained sufficient experience to become fully qualified instructors.
Courses and activities are available for Rock climbing & abseiling, Mountain walking, Gorge scrambling and Indoor climbing.
Of particular interest may be the option for Private Courses where a group of you decide to improve on or begin to learn mountaineering skills. You can mix and match activities for example -
1 day navigation & 1 day scrambling
2 day learn to lead & 1 day basic self rescue
1 day family rock climb & 1 day family mountain walk
1 day rock climbing & 1 day navigation
For a real activity and adventure treat, you could even take a holiday with Dragon Mountain Skills and try a different activity every day.
