Known for its historical structures, Wales is also home to many modern hotels that boast all the amenities desired in a conference hall.

The Celtic Manor in Newport, South Wales is a hotel centered around three world-class golf courses.  Site of the 2010 Ryder Cup and annual Wales Open, the hotel includes many amenities tailored for hitting the links after the business of the conferences are over.  The hotel is able to accommodate a large crowd of overnight conference attendees with its 334 room capacity spread over 6 floors and is a short two hour drive from London for those not planning on staying at the hotel.

The convention center facilities include a 1200 square meter exhibition hall with a dedicated entrance and reception, a spacious suite named the Caernarfon that has the capacity of holding 1500 delegates, 31 meeting rooms and banqueting services that are able to serve groups of up to 800 people with anything from finger foods to elaborate dinner courses.  Wireless Internet is also provided, allowing presenters and delegates access to essential business communications.  Evidence of the Manor’s commitment to quality conference services, the Celtic Manor employs a dedicated event management team to ensure all needs are met.

A slightly smaller venue, Park Place - Cardiff still offers a wide range of valuable conference amenities, as well.  Located in the center of Cardiff, Wales’ capitol city, the hotel is easily accessible and is close to sites like Cardiff Castle, Millennium Stadium, and New Theater Cardiff.  A total room count of 129 rooms is less than half that of Celtic Manor, but still has the capacity of housing many out-of-town conference delegates.  Nine meeting rooms are available with capacities ranging from 20 to 250 people depending on seating arrangement and room size.

State of the art audiovisual equipment is available to add flare to presentations, and wireless Internet is provided in all common areas.  Park Place - Cardiff also employs a Meetings & Event team to take care of event planners and provides a dedicated manager for each event.  The service provided by the hotel staff and flexibility of meeting room options make the Park Place - Cardiff one of Wales’ premiere locations to hold business conferences.

In North Wales, the Imperial Hotel in Llandudno is discounting their event packages during the months of November through January in an effort to help businesses continue to host conferences and meetings in these trying economic times.  While the prices have been reduced, the quality of service by the four star hotel remains top-notch.

Day delegates are treated to a two-course luncheon and afternoon tea, with delegates staying overnight in one of 98 rooms receiving a three-course table d’hote and use of the fitness center.  Eight suites are available for conferences and banquets, with a max capacity of 150 delegates.  High-speed wireless Internet is also available to all guests and delegates at the Imperial Hotel, as well as audiovisual equipment.

Depending on your needs and location, any of these fine establishments offer an excellent venue for business conferences and banquets.  Set against the backdrop of historic and beautiful Wales, any convention would be successful when trusted to the capable employees of hotels across Wales.
