Llanthony Priory, Vale of Ewyas

Llanthony Priory

Magnificent beaches and impressive cliffs, some of the best in the UK, line over 700 miles of coastline. History abounds throughout the land with numerous castles and ancient Roman ruins, old mines and caves, scenic railways and museums to satisfy the most curious of visitors.

Hiking, Brecon Beacons

Brecon Beacons

If checking out the sights is not quite your thing and you would rather be doing instead of seeing, hold on to your hats as there are more than enough adrenaline filled activities available for all ages and abilities. Climbing, abseiling, canoeing, horse riding, mountain biking, quad biking, golfing and fishing are just some of the outdoor activities you can experience in Wales.

Fishing Anyone? Tenby Harbour – South Wales

Tenby Harbour

Along the coast of Wales you’ll find plenty of good fishing options, with pier fishing, beach casting and fishing trips out to sea all available. At certain times of the year you can even take boat trips to see whales and dolphins.

Millenium Stadium

Millenium Stadium, Cardiff

The national sport of Wales is rugby and you’ll never be far from a local game, particularly at the weekends. The impressive Millenium Stadium in Cardiff is the home of international sporting events in Wales and is well worth a visit on an organised tour.

Traditional welsh culture is very much alive in most areas of Wales and you will often hear the welsh language being spoken, especially in the more rural areas of the west and north. Throughout Wales you’ll notice that the road signs are written in both welsh and english. The most popular welsh phrase seen at the borders is “Croeso i Gymru”, meaning “Welcome to Wales” and on that note I’d like to wish you a big welcome to our website and hope that you are able to find all the information on Wales that you need.
